SmartGoggles - By Therabody

Sorry to spam everybody with these! We’re just stoked to share them and it seems like there aren’t a lot of posts up here yet so figured I’d help the cause haha (a few more to come).

This is the first of three animations we completed for Therabody on a crazy short timeline-- this one is for their new SmartGoggles, will post the others soon hopefully. Rendered 100% in Keyshot, dynamics were done in 3DS Max + TyFlow and pulled in via FBX and/or ABC! This was a combination of a lot of work in outside 3D packages-- the fabric “wraparound”, leather, foam and strap materialization stuff was done in 3DS Max using TyFlow, then brought into Keyshot as separate FBX/ABC sequences. All of the internal details of the device were created in Fusion360 and the main/original goggles model was done in SolidWorks. The shots themselves were composed inside Keyshot. The UV’s had to be the same for the static parts as well as animated geo so we could use the same exact shaders universally…was all a bit tricky but came together!
